Mar 2016 – Sep 2020: Arvoia (previously Mobacar)

Arvoia operates in the travel technology space providing personalisation services for the travel & hospitality industry. Using artificial intelligence and a strong focus on customer experience, Arvoia enables travel & hospitality companies to give their customers a better experience as well as improving their own bottom line. 

As VP Customer Success, I was responsible for ensuring customers achieved their desired outcomes while also growing the capabilities, team & reach of customer success internally. Working directly with the CEO to grow the business through propositions, marketing and strategic growth. Managing, mentoring and growing a team of customer focused professionals was a key focus of my role.

Prior to this role, I was the VP Client Delivery with a focus on delivering customer facing deliverables across a variety of initiatives. Working directly with the customer, internal product team & executive team to identify opportunities and bring them to fruition and beyond. My initial role at Arvoia was as Senior Project Manager (Delivery) with responsibility for integrating and onboarding partners in the travel tech industry. Managing global partnerships remotely with external / internal development teams.

As a Project Manager, I have been responsible for the successful implementation of several projects at various customers from SMEs to large multinationals. Assignments involved managing projects with teams composed of colleagues, customers & business partners. Engaging from factory floor to executive boardroom..

My Account Management role includes managing relationships with existing and potential clients. Duties included pre-sales, proposal formulation, market research, site visits, periodic reviews, resource recruitment, managing external support agreements as well as commercial arrangements. As Implementation Consultant, I completed assignments in the areas of SAP materials management, inventory management, procurement & associated modules.

Independent contractor working for Alcatel Australia as an internal SAP Logistics consultant for a global template rollout and follow on support.

Aug 1996 – Oct  1999: IBM Ireland Ltd. 

SAP consultant working on various customer sites during this time. I progressed from a graduate recruit to a lead MM consultant during my time with IBM. The customers I worked with during this time included: Cadbury Ireland, Cablelink (Now UPC/Virgin) and Iona Technologies

Sep 15 to Feb 16 Project Manager for Implementation of SAP and associated applications for PepsiCo at a new greenfield site in Asia.

Dec 14 to Aug 15 Project manager and Cutover Manager for PepsiCo for the Technology migration of all platforms and architecture to a new data centre provider for all of the PepsiCo Worldwide Flavours sites across the globe.

Jun 14 to Nov 14 Project manager for upgrade of SAP at Pepsi Worldwide Flavours. A global upgrade across all of PepsiCo sites within the PWF division. All systems in the SAP ecosystem were successfully upgraded. 

Jan 14 to May 14 Return to project work as SAP consultant at Silver Pail Dairy, The project was an implementation at the manufacturing facility in Fermoy, Co. Cork. 

Sep 13 to Dec 13 Following relocation of family to Killarney, Co. Kerry, I took on a new role as the Avnet SAP Support Centre Manager in Cork. Duties included managing Support team, Customer account management & managing projects delivered by the Support team.

Jan 13 to Aug 13 Project Manager for implementation of SAP at C&F (Now Decotek) Automotive Mullingar. Rollout of SAP to a plant in Germany &  extension of the solution in Ireland. 

June 12 to Nov 12 Project Manager for implementation of continuous improvement and phase 2 projects at Celesio (now McKesson) in Ireland.

Sept 10 to May 12 Project Manager for implementation of SAP at Celesio across three business units in Ireland. Project scope: Financials, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Business Intelligence, Point of Sale Data Mgt and numerous legacy and external interfaces. Project team : 50. 400 users at 5 warehouses and 72 retail outlets. 

Sept 09 to Aug 10 Project Manager for implementation of SAP Business Blueprint phase at Celesio in Ireland. Celesio’s group companies in Ireland (Unicare Pharmacy, Movianto & Cahill May Roberts) conducted requirements gathering &  gap analysis phase during this period. 

June 09 to July 09 Project Manager for implementation of SAP Consolidation project at Takeda Ireland Limited. Takeda’s business units in Ireland were merging. The consolidation of the companies in SAP was implemented in a short project.

Jan 09 to June 09 Project Manager for implementation of SAP All in One solution at OpenHydro. The solution covered Financials, Projects System, Inventory Management, Production Planning, Warehouse Management, Procurement and HR. 

Oct 08 to Dec 08 Project Manager for implementation of SAP All in One solution at Amarin Corporation. Key compliance requirements as per Sarbanes Oxley were satisfied by the Financials and Procurement implemented at Amarin.

Nov 08 to Dec 08 Project Manager at Sherling Group for development of production floor interface between SAP and weighing scales systems with 3rd party software. 

Aug 08 to Oct 08 Project Manager for implementation of SAP solution at C&F Automotive (Iralco). Rollout included Financials, Sales, Purchasing and Inventory Management. 

Mar 08 to Jul 08 Project Manager at Sherling Group for development of production floor interface to SAP and parallel rollout of Sherling Group solution to JCP Company in Newbridge.

Jan 08 to Apr 08 Project Manager / Logistics consultant for SAP rollout at Envirowales. The rollout was based on the Sherling Group SAP core model. 

Nov 07 to Dec 07 Project Manager / Lead Materials Management consultant for SAP MRP solution at Sherling Group. A custom solution for MRP was developed. 

July to Nov 07 Lead Materials Management consultant for SAP upgrade at FÁS (now SOLAS). The upgrade of FÁS was implemented in conjunction with an internal SAP team at FÁS. 

July 07 Project Manager of reporting and interface development at Primeline Logistics Limited. This project involved managing the development of a technical reporting solution to satisfy Revenue requirements as well as interface development. 

May to Jun 07 Project Manager for upgrade scoping study at Horizon Technologies. This project involved scoping & sizing the requirements for an upgrade at Horizon. 

Apr to May 07 Project Manager for interface project at Ryanair Limited. This project involved interfacing an online invoicing system with the backend financial system in SAP. 

Sept 06 to Apr 07 Lead Materials Management consultant for SAP implementation at Sherling Group. Initial implementation for two sites in Dublin and London that were migrating from legacy system to SAP for Financials, Sales & Distribution and Warehouse / Inventory. 

July to Aug 06 Project Manager for an interface project between Takeda Ireland Limited’s SAP system and Global Reporting System for Takeda in Japan. The project involved mapping Financial, Sales and Inventory Data from local system to a globally reporting tool. 

Jan to May 06 Project Manager for a Product Costing and Production Planning solution at Takeda Ireland Ltd. This project involved both an interface to an existing shop floor production system as well as an extensive data management exercise.

Oct – Nov 02: Scoping study for a purchasing project at Aventis Pharma Ltd (Ireland). Delivery of project plan to implement a purchasing and workflow solution.

Apr – Oct 02: MM consultant on upgrade project at Janssen Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Several enhancements in the Purchasing area were incorporated into the upgrade project. 

May 01 – Mar 02: Rollout of the corporate SAP solution at Élan Corporation in San Diego. I was responsible for the Materials Management & Purchasing modules. 

Nov 99 to Oct 00 Alcatel (now Nokia) Australia Ltd.  I was contracted as an internal SAP Logistics consultant as part of the implementation team. The project was a rollout of the global Alcatel solution and was the largest project undertaken within the Alcatel group.
